Lobby signs, also known as front desk, reception or entrance signs, are the first sign your customers will see. It should be designed to make a great first impression as soon as they walk in the front entrance.
Depending upon the type of business, we design lobby signs to reflect the image appropriate to the brand. Recently, we were called by the law firm of Meyers Fozi, LLP, looking for a custom lobby sign for their new office. Meyers Fozi, LLP has “nearly 75 years of combined experience… delivering the highest caliber legal services and representation throughout the State of California California to local government entities, small and medium size businesses, religious organizations, non-profit organizations, and individuals in need of legal advice as well as advocacy through trials and appeals.”
As you can see in the photo, their lobby sign makes a classy first impression, consistent with their brand image.
At North Coast Signs, you have an experienced partner to help create the lobby sign that’s right for your business. From planning, through design, manufacturing, to installation.
When planning, the overall size of the sign should be scaled proportionally to the wall and space. Proper lighting is also a consideration to be sure it is well-lit.
To get started, here are some Lobby Sign Planning Tips:
1. Take a photo of the wall with a piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper taped to the wall.
2. Take measurements of the height and width of the wall.
3. Email the photo, measurements, and your logo (file format .ai, .eps, .jpg) to us at: info@northcoastsigns.net
Next, we will create a proof of the sign on the wall, scaled proportionally. That way we can suggest which size of letter will work best for the space. Once we know dimensions, we can create a quote and recommend materials for fabrication. We can work within a budget and select materials that work for you.
There are many choices of materials to create lobby signs ranging from vinyl prints, plastic letters, clear acrylic panels with letters applied on top, to dimensional letters or a combination.
Finishes of lobby signs can have many different options from face-painted to match corporate branding colors, to metal laminates to cast metal. The possibilities are endless!
Materials and finishes bring the design to life, so making the right choices is key. At North Coast Signs, our experts provide free consultations. If you need a lobby or reception sign for your waiting area or about any other type of sign for your business, give us a call today at (760) 536-5454.
