Recently, North Coast Signs was able to work with Grow Up Green, a company that builds moss walls for their clients. They needed help with a project involving creating a unique lobby sign moss wall with a dimensional logo. Here is a quick look at this project and why you should consider one for your establishment.

Grow Up Green is known for its unique approach to biophilic design and needed a sign to mount on the moss wall to complement its aesthetic. The logo is routed from ½” thick white PVC and stud-mounted with 4” studs, which were designed to go into the moss on the backboard. The final product is a lobby wall with a white logo against the vibrant green moss backdrop.
What to Know About Moss Walls
Moss walls are made from preserved moss that has been treated to maintain its color and texture. The moss is preserved by replacing the water in the moss with a glycerin solution. It stops the moss’s growth and keeps the moss soft and vibrant. Then the moss is carefully applied to a backing material that can then be mounted onto any indoor wall.
One common misconception is that moss walls need to be treated like a regular garden. Moss walls are surprisingly low maintenance.
